Apple releases Security Update 2012-002 for OS X Snow Leopard (client and server)

Apple today released Security Update 2012-002 (Snow Leopard) which is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X.

  1. Who wants to try this update out on Snow Leopard running Rosetta? I’m still gun-shy after the update before last cost me an entire day of work. Apple came out with a fix some days later but I’m still ticked off.

  2. Get an external HD and run carbon copy cloner. Run update and test. Re-image if it is broke, or run off of the clone till Apple fixes like last time. Very easy problem to solve.

  3. Apple really should support older OS X versions. At least for security updates. I believe many older PowerPC Macs are still in use because there’s nothing wrong with them.
