Al Gore? Yeah, if you like science fiction.
Give it a rest, will ya!
@ Figurative: prejudging before you read, aren’t you? Why don’t you try the intelligent thing and review it yourself before forming an opinion and spouting off about it on the internet????
Except for the jetpacks, we are now living in the world of science fiction. The sensational invention pouring out of books like Bug Jack Barron, Stand on Zanzibar, etc. ripened into truth. And it got even more outrageous: deranged half-wit CEOs, “reality” shows on TV, circus clowns running for office, dreck going viral, and Al Gore winning an Oscar, an Emmy, a Webby, a Grammy, and a Nobel.
Do I denote just a wee bit of cynicism there Jane?
Al Gore couldn’t be more wrong.. Has been since day one, is the biggest hypocrite one will ever see, $5 for his app, just goes into his pocket and no where else.. Not to mention his jet setting around, homes that most people will never ever live in.. all because people continue to support his fantasies..
The earth will be here long after him and we are all gone..
Remember, Apple gets 30%.
So Al only get $3.50.
Nice!
Please, Al Gore. I have seen enough, the guy is a joke a liar and a thief.
You are mixing him up with George W. Bush.
You mean B.Hussein Obama, don’t you?
Our Choice is in the top 10 not because of the message but because its fantastically designed, engineered, and developed application. People aren’t always trying to sell you on their ideology folks.
But old’ Al is, that’s for sure.
Along with every other jackass that comes down the pike, sport. Bar none.
So true, samiam. Despite your opinion of the content of the book or it’s author, it demonstrated early in the history of the iPad the potential of the platform.
My dear Mr. Tedeschi: I was born at night but it wasn’t last night.
Mr Gore is entitled to his opinion, but to select his offering from the countless thousands of genuinely brilliant apps is a little too much to swallow.
You knew full well if you had listed Mr. Gore’s app first nobody would have kept reading.
My esteem for your publication has just been destroyed.
it never ceases to amaze me how vacuous MDN commenters are.
Oh yeah, well at least we’re not stoopid!
samiam, having seen some of your comments, I wouldn’t be too quick to judge.
People may couch their feelings in incendiary language but I agree with them.
Mr. Gore is wrong, and to promote his agenda in the sneaky way the NYT did is wrong too.
I (and many others) have concluded that the pop media has ignored mountains of evidence that **does not** support AGW. The scientific community **is not** unanimous in their belief in AGW and to claim otherwise is wholly dishonest.
Now please take your thesaurus elsewhere.
You have obviously “seen” but not read nor understood my comments.
Please scroll back up, highlight, and copy and paste my commits that endorse and attempt to justify Al Gore’s position on global warming.
Or could it be that I agree with the original Article that the APPLICATION is a testament to iOS development?
If you bothered to click the link, and read the article, you would see the author states exactly that.
But if you just want to assume he is trying to hoodwink readers, so be it.
I was referring to your comments on other pages, obviously. You accuse others of vacuous commentary but from what I’ve read you’re no better. Anyone that disagrees with you is not paying attention or is just plain stupid. Neither is the case here.
To reiterate: The aforementioned app is an obscure one, the fact that it is being fawned over by so many left-wing media sycophants should come as no surprise.
It is merely a vehicle for one man’s campaign against genuine science, where one perspective is lauded while opponents are vilified and discredited as kooks. Gore uses these tactics of partisan politics to force his view on others, wrapping it in a pretty package that the media is obligated to endorse.
Again, with so many amazing apps released in 2011 I find it highly suspect that an app supporting the extremist AGW view should come out in the top ten.
AWG, doesn’t that stand for Al Gore Warning?
