“Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC today announced its monthly sales figures for November, posting financials that highlighted a 30% drop in sales from October, and 20% down on the same period in 2010,” Matt Brian reports for TNW.
“In November, HTC revised its revenue estimates in the fourth quarter, warning investors that increased competition in the smartphone market and a hostile economic climate would affect revenues,” Brian reports. “Today’s filing will do little to reassure HTC investors after the company’s share price yesterday plummeted to a 17-month low ahead of a potential device ban in the U.S as a result of a legal fight against Apple.”
Brian reports, “The Cupertino-based company continues to squeeze HTC over its device designs but is also eating into its sales following the release of the iPhone 4S.”

+1, except upgraded from iphone 4. Siri works really well in many things, but here in UK it’s very crippled. Can’t wait for Apple to make local features available.
Transferring all my data was a breeze and went without a hitch. Amazed at the speed all the thousands of songs transferred over.
I’m sure a lot of lost sales were in the U.S. ATT FREE 3GS for the Android is free crowd (Cheapskates). Next year should be great when the iPhone 4 is free worldwide. Then the iPhone copycats won’t have thier only sales helper.
