Multiple, and we mean multiple, MacDailyNews readers have emailed us (using alternate email systems) that Apple’s iCloud: Mail is down for “some” users currently.
Said users “may be unable to access iCloud mail,” Apple’s iCloud System Status webpage reports. “Normal service will be restored ASAP,” Apple’s page promises.
Apple’s iCloud System Status webpage is here.
MacDailyNews Take: As Michael jackson once sang, “You are not alone.”
[Thanks to MacDailyNews readers too numerous to mention individually for the heads up.]
It’s was for me, Mail was asking my password several times, but i think its back now
mine was down earlier today but by the time (an hour after) all the rumors sites got around to posting about it, it was fine.
I have no problem using iCloud mail on my iPhone. Must be affecting small percentage of users.
i am here with you.
Good to see that Apple has learned from its MobileMe clusterfsck and have improved iCloud.
No drop outs for me.
It’s back up. 100%
My push notifications are still unpredictable and unreliable, ever since I migrated from mobile me. Tried everything the forums suggested, still not working as it did and should on iOS devices, but does on the Mac, curiously. Must be a bug in iOS 5 that still hasn’t been fixed. 🙁
Its not stable. Sucks!
No Mail access via the Cloud, Mac or devices for over 30 hours here and getting desperate. Can log in to iCloud account fine though!
Don’t know why I’ve left the email as it hasn’t worked for 2 days. Can log in to icloud but mail doesn’t work in or out nor does .mac or macme according to Apple everything is working.
My connection is fine. Go to gmail if it continues . Are there any fixes out there. Apple want to charge an iconsultationfee to ifix what I have already paid for.
I paid for an Express Lane booked call yesterday. My mail account had been “deprovisioned” apparently?! This was fixed, although I wasn’t told when it would be, and today when I changed my password I found everything working but none of the missing emails in my inbox. Basically it was re-established but there was a loss of data. And they didn’t charge for the call in the end.
