Apple has released “Java for OS X Lion Update 1” and “Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6.”
Both “Java for Mac OS X 10.7 Update 1” and “Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6” deliver improved compatibility, security, and reliability by updating Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_29.
Both of the Java updates are available via Software Update and also as standalone installers.

Weren’t Java updates going to come from Oracle as Apple would discontinue development?
Yeah! What gives? I thought Apple gave up on packaging Java!?!
