Godspeed, Steve…
Looks like the patio in front of the Mac Cafe. I’ve been there a few times, and this photo sends shivers.
My first thought: “I wish Steve could have been there.”
My second thought: “He is.”
…
yes he’s in that big picture at the back
Funny.
Sorry, no. That’s the stage. South of the patio. Cheers.
🙁
Thank you Apple!
Thank you Apple for sharing this. I would love to see the whole celebration.
I wish we didn’t have to celebrate his life just now. 2031 would have been soon enough.
Too soon still, but less cruelly so. We can sigh, imagining what might have been, or we can go make it happen.
In the big version downloaded from the site the moon hanging in the sky is very poignant. Almost makes the giant banner of Steve in the buddha-like stance metaphysical. Beautiful.
Any word on who played the gig?
Norah Jones, too.
Pretty sure that’s Chris Martin’s piano on the right there from Coldplay…
der-good call.
Coldplay was the big act. Norah Jones the warmup.
I’ll take a Norah Jones concert over Coldplay any night. I like Coldplay, but Norah is just consistently good. Coldplay? not so much. Hope Steve liked them.
Do other corporations do this and MEAN it and MISS their dearly departed CEO and company creator?
Good luck with that happening. Are you watching Rupert? Enjoying your PIE Rupert?
Apple continues to be the BRILLIANT EXCEPTION. May Apple remain exceptional forever! 😎
^^^^^ Yes!

… I’m so glad to have visited last Friday the Apple campus and pay my respects to Steven P. Jobs 🙂
It’s okay, pirates never die.
I use this picture as one of my desktop screen images. The other favorite one is “Steve: 1955–2011”.
