64GB iPhone 4S AT&T order completed about 5:30 pm PDT Friday on the telephone not online. Order verification request email received and executed 9 am PDT Sunday. Order Confirmation email received 5 am PDT Monday. Awaiting shipping completed with tracking number email next. Will post when it happens here.
Still no shipping email. So I phoned AT&T to find out I didn’t get credit for my 5:30 PM Friday phone order until Monday even though I accepted terms and conditions as soon as they finally sent it to me Sunday morning. So my order reads “Backordered” instead of preparing for shipment. No telling how long before it ships. Oh well. At one million orders per day, it feels good to at least be in the queue after 3 million others are apparently ahead of me. Looks like at least 25 million will be sold by Christmas. All the hesitaters are in for a very long wait. This is worse than the iPad queues.

So, only one shipping option available. Would that be UPS?
There are three emails in the order to shipping process.
1. Order Verification – requires you to click on a link to web page where you verify and accept new contract agreement. If you don’t do this your order gets canceled.
2. Order Confirmation – says you’re order is accepted and you’re in the queue for shipping yet to happen.
3. Order Shipping Confirmation with shipping tracking number/link.
Did you confirm and agree to the contract at 11am Friday? If so didn’t you get order confirmation soon after? Ordered online from what entity? Apple, AT&T, Verizon or Sprint?

Ordered my iPhone 4S white/16gb via apple.com the minute I was able to. Around 2am. Still haven’t received the shipping e-mail. Hopefully it ships sometime today.
So, If I ordered over the phone through AT&T on crazy Friday morning I should have already received some sort of email. I have not yet received any.

You need to call them. Your order may have been cancelled. You should have immediately gotten a text message followed by a verification email which requires you click on a link to the AT&T website where you have to confirm agreement to a new contract with them. Without having done that, your order would have been canceled.
Just go my AT&T Terms & Conditions emails. So Yeah!
You’re probably like me behind 3 million online weekend orders. Apparently Friday phone orders went to the back of the bus. Bummer.
Yep – left hong kong this morning to states. Ordered it in the first hour thru Apple.
Then hopefully my order just has yet to be updated. I ordered through apple as well. Hmmm
Ordered mine at 3:45am EST – and that is because the apple site was delayed for 44 minutes. So technically i ordered mine in the 1st minute it was available from Apple. And i received my shipping confirmation this morning. Still in china.
Oops make that hong kong. And now it shows a 9:23 departure scan. Sweet.

I ordered my 32GB white iphone 4S as soon as possible. I began at midnight exactly, but I did not get to order until like 3:45 or 3;47, as well. I received the email with the tracking number tonight (10/12/11 at 7:30 pm), but, due to an overload, UPS cannot display my tracking information.
Declining, does it give you an estimated date of delivery? I’m so curious and excited! I’ve never been part of the new phone flurry before 🙂
My iPhone is here!!!!! …..Now, I don’t want to take it out of the box. lol

Both my orders due UPS Friday the 14th.
Arg. No sign yet. I went to the AT&T store and ordered there (had to do a cross-grade upgrade with my wife’s phone). I surely hope I get a confirmation soon–would really tick me off not to get it on the 14th when I went in at 9 AM last Friday to pre-order!

I just know there is a box over there that belongs to me. It’s probably three pallets to the back and there’s a guy on break that’s not interested in loading another darn pallet. Ahhhh, I feel like I’m at the back of the line. 😉
Cognitive dissonance causes me to believe that my box is already in the U.S. and waiting for business day tomorrow to be “shipped”.
Good to see Apple take away some business from Fedex- they don’t deserve it.
FedEx really is horrible, especially when they use USPS to deliver.

Ordered 2 iPhone 4Ses. My wife is getting a 16gb white one and I am getting a 32gb black one. Just got the tracking numbers.

I know me too i hope i dont get delayed. I calles apple and they said they saw no probs on their side of the order.
We ordered our two 16g in white when the nearest att opened at 10:00am mountain time on friday and were told it was a two to three week wait. I was hoping that was an overestimate to not get people’s hopes up?
Ok so my anxiety got the best of me and i phoned apple because my order still says preparing for shipment. I spoke to two idiots which was a waste of me time. But i found that is you go to ups.com click on track then track by reference all you have to do is enter your order number minus the last two digits and your zip code and bingo my order and tracking number showed up and it is indeed in transit. So it seems like ups and apple are not talking to each but EXPECT YOUR IPHONES ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY THE LATEST.

Literally five minutes after I did what you suggested, Apple emailed shipment notification.
Mine says back ordered. Ordered at AT&T store early Friday morning.
i just tried it and it worked! Just don’t put in a zip code. Mine says it departed china and is on time for delivery on Friday!
But apple still says preparing for shipment. I’m sure yours is the same. Cheers

Hey guys… Happy to see many of you on the verge of recieving your new iPhone 4s phones…
Ordered my iPhone 4s 16 gb on the 7th at 11.23 am at the AT&T store, got my order confirmation right away but checked my status through the link in the mail and really disappointed cos it says in progress and back ordered till date.
Messed up part is my cousins who ordered way later than me see a shipped status. Did any ofyou experience this issue??
