“As uncertainty remains as to whether Apple will launch an ‘iPhone 4S,’ an ‘iPhone 5’ — or both — in the coming weeks, new parts claimed to be for an upgraded iPhone 4 model have appeared,” Sam Oliver reports for AppleInsider.
“The new images were sent to AppleInsider by iRepair India, and are claimed to be of a soon-to-be-released ‘iPhone 4S’ model. The parts were reportedly supplied from Shenzhen, China,” Oliver reports. “The person who sent the components actually referred to the handset as an ‘iPhone 4GS,’ referencing the name of Apple’s iPhone 3GS, first released in 2009.

Oliver reports, “The supplier claimed there will be ‘no iPhone 5 this year,’ suggesting a major hardware revamp in 2011 could be questionable.”

I don’t think there are enough stupid iPhone 5 rumors out there. We need more!
Yes, enough rumors. In fact too many. However, my bet is that Apple would release iPhone 5 parts late to avoid more information going out prematurely. We shall see when it happens……. I’m afraid that the anticipation and rumors over a revamp may hurt apple this time if they don’t produce an iPhone 5…. I know I won’t upgrade until a larger screen. it’s the only thing that could make me upgrade.
I want a new iphone…. Not the same iphone with a upgraded camera and a5 procesor. I want a slimer, lighter, iphone with an larger display. I dont want to believe this….. All the delayed time…. 1 year and 4 month for the same iphone I dont want to believe this. Also apple Had the samsung galaxy 2 long time ago. Apple needs to do a superior phone than the galaxy 2. That is obviusly better than the one year old iphone 4.

There’s nothing wrong with the 4’s form factor.
Only the fashion obsessed cry out for something new, bright and shiny. People who actually use their phones properly, rather than as a piece of jewellery, care only for improvements in performance. For me, more storage, bigger camera, more RAM, and the faster processor are what I really need, not surface glitz. Leave that for the Android and Windows wannabes.
Um, you have that exactly backwards. Androids are fashion accessories (surface glitz)? Please. iPhones are obviously much nicer-looking.
iPhones and iPads are explicitly aimed at people who don’t care (as much) about specs. How much RAM does the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 have? Apple-only sources please. Hint: it’s not in their tech specs pages.
Raw spec-wise, the iPhone 4 is lacking in several areas: camera megapixels (a stupid measurement, but people use it), screen size (even if resolution is better), possibly processor speed. I’ll still take an iPhone 4 over an Android, but I won’t take “more of the same” in a 4GS–it’s been over a year, Apple better deliver some major improvements to keep up with the competition, even if it’s only themselves.
For me it’s a slightly larger display, better battery life (I don’t care for a slimmer case), quality camera processor and flash (screw the megapixels–more than 8 MP on a camera phone with no image stablization or zoom is a joke anyway), and obviously faster CPU and more RAM.
… and I want 4G + 3G + Edge so I can have the fastest web surfing environment, even if 4G isn’t available everywhere.
when will people understand… there will be no iPhone 5.. it will be the iPhone 4G (updated iPhone 4 with 4G, CDMA/GSM A5 chip and bigger camera etc)
And Apple will release the iPhone 7000. which will destroy all other “smartphones” that happen to come into close proximity of the iPhone 7000.

and those whining about apple must do this, or do that… with an iPhone 5 *just* to compete… Sorry, the iPhone 4 beats all that is out there now..
Just cause some dumb phone has a bigger screen, does NOT make it a better screen. its already been proven that the “smaller” camera in the iPhone 4 is MUCH better than the 8mp camera’s out there in other dumb phones.

Too many people are being caught up in the Specs.. Specs do NOT make the device.
if that were the case the Android tablets would smoke the iPad 2… but they don’t.
