“Shares of patent-owner InterDigital are slumping after Google says it’s buying Motorola Mobility in the search giant’s biggest acquisition ever,” Shara Tibken and Shira Ovide report for The Wall Street Journal.

I used to have a Motorola phone… In fact. It was my first. I’m sure most of those patents from the 1990’s will prove to be worth every penny. Maybe Google’s next phone can be named the AndroidTac… And have a really big flip cover with a microphone in it!!!
guess who gets sued next?
Not sure what you mean, if you are trying to say that Apple will sue Google, then no, they will already be suing them. When you acquire a entity you also acquire any liabilities (like pending litigation)
If you are saying that this will give Goog ammo to file a counter suit against apple, again that is not likely. If there was anything that MoMo had in it’s patent trove to wield against Apple as a bargaining chip in exchange for ripping off the iPhone, then MoMo would likely have pulled that out already.
Or did you mean something else entirely?
I had a Motorola phone. It sucked. Good luck, Google. Next time use your own search engine and type in “good target for business acquisition.”
