The truth about the iPhone 5 and iPad 3

“Every day, it seems, there’s a new rumor about the ‘iPhone 5’ or ‘iPad 3,'” Galen Gruman writes for InfoWorld.

Gruman writesThe crescendo of iPhone 5 and iPad 3 rumors is only getting more intense as the fall release of iOS 5 approaches,” Gruman writes. “It’s a safe bet that Apple will announce an updated iPhone at the same time, since it skipped its usual July iPhone refresh this year and hinted strongly in its earnings call last month that a new iPhone was on its way.”

Gruman writes, “You can’t rely on the rumors on the Web to determine your purchase timing. Nearly everything rumored turns out to be false.”

    1. The funny thing is, you probably think that was an insult or some sort of burn… reality: it just makes you look like an idiot whose never used iOS and has no knowledge of the history of the situation, and thus no knowledge of just how extensively android has counterfeited iOS.

      You should be embarrassed.

      1. I’ve seen this guy’s posts before. you’re really wasting words, good words, actually, but his responses usually appear to be either a retired gentleman with too much time on his hands or an employed guy with too much time on his hands. sadly, he never posts facts, just junk, although it is getting at least two people to respond, and for a guy who might be lonely, that’s better than none.

        1. Brilliantly put writingdevil. Unfortunately we’re seeing more and more of it, even on what used to be reliable sites like seeking alpha.

I suspect it’s this sort of nonsense, from these types of clowns, that will eventually lead most of into some sort of curated web environment. Take a look at asymco.com for example – brilliant articles, clever commentary, with most of the crap filtered out. I leave there feeling like I’ve really learned something. A racom online experience these days.

    1. Because it’s free. If you want to make a phone, go for it. Android has an mobile Op Sys for any and all.

We’ll see how that stands after all the patent dust settles.

  1. Lochias is right. Because the Android operating system is free for phone mfrs. to use, and it is comparable in the minds of people, to Apple’s iOS, of course they’re going to use it.

As to why people end users like Android… most have never used iOS on a daily basis to understand the difference. And most people are unwilling to pay the higher prices for the monthly service charge associated with an iPhone, through AT&T or V.

The short answer is ignorance and poverty.
