“After a number of fake Apple retail stores in China gained publicity online, Apple appears to have taken legal action, undoubtedly looking to shut down the counterfeit locations designed to look like its own operations,” Neil Hughes reports for AppleInsider.
“Apple has gone on the offensive against a number of defendants, including 50 John Does and unnamed businesses, in a new trademark infringement suit,” Hughes reports. “The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of New York remains under a court seal, so the specifics of the complaint are not known.”

Hughes reports, “However, one of the defendants in the case is ‘Apple Story Inc.,’ matching the name of a retail outlet that mimics Apple’s own highly successful retail operation. ‘Apple Story’ is located in the neighborhood of Flushing in Queens, New York; Apple’s lawsuit was filed in Brooklyn.”

Time to take out the trash Apple… Good job…
The quoted article misleads readers into thinking that the matter is about Chinese fake stores, while actually it is about USA’s.
Yeah it’s really confusing.. so while they don’t have actual laws in China.. luckily this Chinese operation happens to be headquartered in Queens?! So we can go after them?? Amazing.. So someone in Queens thought it would be a good idea to buy stuff from the Apple Store in Shanghai, and resell that stuff…at a tiny markup…in China…???? Whatever
All they have to claim is they were copying Microsoft stores, not Apple. 😉
How good can something be if it’s a copy of a copy?
Answer: as good as Zune, Xoom, WinMo 7, GalaxyTab, etc, etc!
