RUMOR: AT&T prepping for iPhone 5 launch in ‘early to mid-September’

“BGR has exclusively learned that AT&T has begun communicating launch plans internally for Apple’s next-generation iPhone 5 handset,” Jonathan S. Geller reports for BGR.

“AT&T is asking managers to finish training in order to have employees available for the influx of foot traffic expected in September,” Geller reports, citing “a proven source.”

Geller reports, “Other reports indicate that Apple is looking to hire additional Apple Store staff to be on hand for “new product launches” during the same period of time, further supporting our information.”

  1. My bet Apple plans to take advantage of Monday Sept 5,2011 as the first day of sales for the new iPhones. This would allow for huge queues to form which would add to the fall retail excitement.

    Maybe they will announce it before to allow the public to plan ahead on how they will spend he Labor Day weekend.

    What ever happens I predict Labor Day will be a bad day for androids.
