$616 black cashmere sweater maker swamped after Steve Jobs wears one on stage

“An email from luxury fashion label VONROSEN, bring[s] forth the revelation that Apple head honcho Steve Jobs was wearing one of their cashmere sweaters on stage at WWDC 2011 earlier this week (and later when he asked the Cupertino city council for space to park his spaceship or something),” Robin Wauters reports for TechCrunch. “The email came straight from Dr. David Frederik von Rosen-von Hoewel, the label’s CEO.”

“Now that I’ve got you all giddy, let me stomp on your excitement right away: reportedly due to the ‘large number of inquiries,’ VONROSEN’s system is currently unable to take further orders,” Wauters reports. “Yeah like you’d spend $616 on a sweater instead of treating yourself to that extra iPad 2.”

MacDailyNews Take: VONROSEN should’ve played it cool like New Balance as that’s likely the last time anyone will ever see Jobs in that sweater after this little publicity stunt.

how he looked or what people said. Just my humble feminine thought. Yeah, the Kraut probably blew it. Guess SJ will have to hit the JCrew cashmere rack!

    1. Yeah, it’s like you or I dropping a $20 to buy it. Probably fished out spare change to get one. “Oh, look a $1,000 bill must’ve come out of my pants pocket in the dryer!”
