The domain facetime.com still hosts the old company’s site (Actiance). There is a funny page there: “What’s in a name?”. They quote some Shakespeare, go to great length on how their business has transformed, how their old name no longer reflected their business, and never once mention Apple, or Apple’s FaceTime service. It is quite amusing…
I wonder if UvulaTime.com is taken?
🙂
that’s disgusti….oh wait, I thought you were referencing some woman parts like ovaries.org or sump’n
That’s part of why Apple needs $50 billion on hand.
“Actiance”? What a horrible, fugly name. Apple must have made it worth their while to settle.

Soooo, reckon someone has the “facetime@hotmail.com” address yet….?
Or “FaceTime@me.com?
wow, thanks for the great idea!! I have on line chat now on my sites, and you gave me the idea of setting up “FaceTime@ my domains.com” as an other alternative to live chat!,,
Sounds very Microsoft like : if you can’t think of it buy it from someone who did think of it.
Where is MDN calling out Apple like it did Motorola for copying some company’s name? I guess what’s good for the goose is not good for the gander. How typical!
I heard Motorola got a new domain too. after the iPad 2 came out. Its called FacePalm.com…..
