Apple’s online store is currently offline, displaying the familiar message that often, but not always, precedes new product additions:
We’ll be back soon. We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly.
UPDATE: 8:30am EDT: The Store is back online. Anyone see anything new besides Apple’s new site-wide menu?
Visit the Apple Store here.
[Thanks to MacDailyNews Readers too numerous to mention individually for the heads up.]
iPhone 5???
iOS 4.3
I don’t see anything big coming from this. Call me skeptical, but I can’t imagine it.
Official Steve Jobs action figure?
Is it just me, or the menu bar in apple website (except the store) has changed?
Offline all around the world.
Speedbumps and price adjustments.
Yep – much darker now.
@BurningZeppelin
It’s a new navbar with a little CSS3 animation thrown in…
My wish list:
New Intel Core 2nd Generation MacBook Pros
iPad 2
Windows 8.0. Perrhaps?
how about just a marketing change for Valentine’s day?
Its up! Don’t see anything new. Dang. Wanted a Dock-able iPad Pro with a quad core i7.
…and yes the menu bars are different
it’s not the right time for anything new yet, Verizon iPhone’s got all the attention until it’s time to announce the next iPad.
At 2:49am, i recieved thru e-mail, a store receipt for the purchase of “Fun Booth”. I did not purchase this application. This was while the store was closed? Everyone check your purchase receipts, something funny is going on. I will report it to Apple later today.
The Canadian online Apple Store is up so I guess it’s just the US store.
Yeah, it’s back. Cosmetic change to the nav bar and valentine’s day garbage. iVal?
Nothing to see here. Go back to sleep, dream about iPad 2.
Damn, I was hoping for a MBP model refresh, bringing SSD (PCI-e like the Air), Core i5 and antiglare display option to the 13″.

This could be a phishing email. I received several such fake receipt emails a few months ago, always for outrageous sums (an app for $799.00, etc). The charges, of course, were not actually made to my credit card. As with any possible phishing email, do not click on any links within. Check your credit card recent activity to determine if it is fake.
Hehe.

Someone pushed the wrong button and had to wait for a super to arrive to put the site back up.
G5 POWERBOOKS!!!!
Is the valentines themed selling new?
The new darker menu bar sucks.
Per Daniel Eran Dilger at Applesinsider, they’ve switched to HTML5:
