Mac OS X 10.6.5 release imminent

“Over the weekend Apple released another build of Mac OS X 10.6.5 to developers. Build 10H568 comes six days after the previous release,” Alex Brooks reports for World of Apple.

“Today it has come to light that build 10H568 has gone pre-release with a select number of developers having access to what looks like the final build of Mac OS X 10.6.5.,” Brooks reports. “The current version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard was released in mid-June after just under two months of developer testing.”

Brooks reports, “Mac OS X 10.6.5 build 10H568 weighs in at 496.6MB.”

  1. I was hoping for an Apple event right before Thanksgiving with:

    1) Release of 4.2 with lots of dazzling demos of Airplay/wireless printing, new iPad features, etc.
    2) Update to iTunes for Airplay
    3) Update to Apple TV for Airplay
    4) Update to OS X for Airplay
    5) Demo of third party accessories for Airplay
    5) cough * cough * Verizon iPhone * cough

    Is that too much to ask?

    No wonder MicroSoft is in such trouble. Ballmer spends his days surfing rather than actually working with his managers and actual one on ones with customers.
