Mac OS X 10.6.5 release imminent

“Over the weekend Apple released another build of Mac OS X 10.6.5 to developers. Build 10H568 comes six days after the previous release,” Alex Brooks reports for World of Apple.

“Today it has come to light that build 10H568 has gone pre-release with a select number of developers having access to what looks like the final build of Mac OS X 10.6.5.,” Brooks reports. “The current version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard was released in mid-June after just under two months of developer testing.”

Brooks reports, “Mac OS X 10.6.5 build 10H568 weighs in at 496.6MB.”

  1. I was hoping for an Apple event right before Thanksgiving with:

    1) Release of 4.2 with lots of dazzling demos of Airplay/wireless printing, new iPad features, etc.
    2) Update to iTunes for Airplay
    3) Update to Apple TV for Airplay
    4) Update to OS X for Airplay
    5) Demo of third party accessories for Airplay
    5) cough * cough * Verizon iPhone * cough

Is that too much to ask?

  2. steveballmer notes “Windows 7 is far superior!”

No wonder MicroSoft is in such trouble. Ballmer spends his days surfing rather than actually working with his managers and actual one on ones with customers.
