Yes! The Cerritos store is 20 min from home and across the street from our office. To bad I have to work.
Aeromexico crash was on 31 August, 1986, a Sunday. I was working and we heard the devastating news. I was 16 yo at the time.
One of the worst kept secretes in this area. Managers from various department stores at that mall have been falling all over themselves to tell me ( or hint) off the record about the new store that had something to do with apples.

I actually emailed Steve jobs and requested that he open a store on the Cerritos vicinity back in march. I told him I was tired of fighting traffic to the brea mall and it would be nice if he would consider it. I firmly believe he really did. And I have the email to prove it. Thanks Steve. I live a mile from the Cerritos mall.
