“Apple is working on a technology that will couple real-time parking availability information with other parameters to offer users an intelligent parking availability information,” GO Rumors reports.
“In a patent titled ‘PARKING & LOCATION MANAGEMENT PROCESSES & ALERTS’ filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office, the company talks of a technology that will consolidate information from a variety of sources – like the current location of the different buses in your route, the location of the nearest available taxi, streets where a sweeping schedule is on, parking lot availability, parking cost at different areas, etc. to deliver information to the user that will help them decide where to park their cars,” GO Rumors reports.
“This is an ‘intelligent’ technology where the system will deliver the information based on user preferences (like how [far] they are willing to walk from the parking lot), current weather information (so that a parking space that is more expensive, but closer to office may chosen during bad weather days),” GO Rumors reports.

With this app, I reckon I’ll be parking. LOTS!
Take the space to meter this parallel to studies steering elsewhere.
Okay, Ampar, that was reaching.
But I’ve got nothing.
@WA
Heh heh.
Reminds me of the guy I saw walking down the street, . . . and he turned into a parking lot.
When I saw the same guy yesterday, he turned into a drugstore.
I suppose he couldn’t make up his mind.
So he turned into a bar…
Yes! The guy wanted to make sure his car was nice and clean, Then he bought flowers at the entrance of the drugstore to, finally, go to his rendez-vous… Very clear, my dear Watson.
iGuide?
Its no longer a benefit when everybody has an iPhone and is going for the one parking space!
MDN ….STOP THE STUPID POP UP WINDOWS
@WA and Ampar
Thanks guys that started off my day with a laugh
Whoo?
If he was in the right city he could have turned into a Apple Store.
I had a similar idea in the mid-1990s but the Internet was not very big.
Around that time, GPS was unknown to common people.
Therefore that idea was impossible to achieve by a 10 years old guy.
@MDNM
Amen!
parkediem–seize the data!
ingredients: Boston, parking lot attendant.
punchline: Pork my core !?
hilarity ensues
WHAT pop-up windows? I’ve never seen ANY! Do you two not have Safari’s “Block Pop-Up Windows” option turned on?
You guys may want to shut down your cookies and clean them out, as well.
