“Monday’s article at The Wall Street Journal, which provided confirmation of an Apple tablet device, had all the earmarks of a controlled leak. Here’s how Apple does it,” John Martellaro reports for The Mac Observer.
“Often Apple has a need to let information out, unofficially,” Martellaro reports. “The company has been doing that for years, and it helps preserve Apple’s consistent, official reputation for never talking about unreleased products. I know, because when I was a Senior Marketing Manager at Apple, I was instructed to do some controlled leaks.”

And I say he’s doing the same thing now. Leaking info about Apple’s leaks! LOL!
What kind of Stock package did he get when he left to be this loyal?!?!
Makes sense
I’ve taken a couple of controlled leaks too. It’s the uncontrolled ones that are a problem 😀
now that’s funny!
The only thing I’d point out, that while John is an astute Apple observer, he hasn’t worked there in a good long while. Things can change.
If they’ve got their leaks under control they must be taking Flomax.
It all Depends.

With a story about “leaks”…

As long as they do it with Dignity.
I love all the pee jokes! That is why I read MDN (all day).

If you can pee your name in the snow legibly and your name is Gorferbulitacious Heffenfluffenmorgensberger III, then THAT is a controlled leak. And probably Guinness Book of Records material and worth a shot at a reality series on Fox.
@ Ampar,
Printing or cursive? ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”cheese” style=”border:0;” />
“Printing or cursive?”
In Klingon.
Real Klingons don’t use pee to write in the snow. They use blood.
Not their own, of course.
@ Sir Gill Bates
Klingons? What’s that got to do with it? I thought we were talking leaks, not number 2’s.
@ Alexo,
Didn’t you hear, the Hubble Space Telescope took photos of a Klingon Warbird circling Uranus.
