“The first external builds of Mac OS X 10.6.3, the next incremental update to Apple’s Snow Leopard operating system, should arrive this week,” AppleInsider reports.
“It is not yet known what issues Apple hopes to address with the latest update,” AppleInsider reports.
Apple’s Mac OS X 10.6.2 “was in beta for just over a month, before its release to the public on Nov. 9. A timeframe for the potential Mac OS X 10.6.3 release is not yet known,” AppleInsider reports.

@mike,
sorry to hear your problem mike, but here in my office we have 29 Macs all running SL and no problems at all with any networking of any kind.

Yeah, maintained by a guy who hasn’t been on a date since the last episode Seinfeld. I’m talking about my own computer here. The problem is well documented and its on Apple Support forums without any solution. So um, I wouldn’t say I’m unlucky, I just got a turd called Snow Leopard.
Wait, are you fucking kidding me, with all the bad press out there, your office upgraded to the least stable Mac OS in about 10 years? Wow. Smart……. Couldn’t wait for the…uh… Expose Drag and Drop? Amazing.
And if I sound annoyed its cuz, I’ve been a Mac user for about 20 years and have never been so frustrated with an Apple product.
@Gosh
“3 is usually considered ‘golden master’ in Mac circles!”
A-fuckin-men to that.
I’ll wait until its out, and give SL another go. Unfortunately, I just can’t live without this newfangled “internet ” thingy. I know. Bleeding edge. Whaddya gonna do. LOL.
“It just works…we hope”

The Solutions provided just don’t work. Eventually the only solution was a Manual DNS entry, which begs the question: Why the hell would Apple ship this OS to about 40 million users, and expect them do fiddle around with a manual DNS address?
God I love Leopard.
@mike,
Truly sorry to hear about your ethernet issues. If you didn’t install SL via a clean install you really should. I know…I know…it’s a Mac and you should be able to do archive and install until the cows come home but sometimes that just doesn’t work (although I do know someone who has done them since 10.1 through 10.5 without an issue).
Good luck!
Stay faithful. For every one Mac problem you have experienced, you have avoided 50 Winblows problems!
Thanks Cubert,
You’re exactly right, I did an upgrade install, and that caused a ton of problems.
its because i’m so used to OS X installs going smoothly that i felt upgrade was good enough. 😀
i don’t feel like going through the install process again, but when 10.6.3 comes out, i’ll do a clean install, and don’t expect any issues thereafter 😀
So, have all these people with problems been using the Apple utility to repair permissions? Spend any money or effort to optimize directories or files? Not much mention of this done BEFORE all the whining. Be a little more scientific in your descriptions, and let us know what REALLY is the problem.
theuncle,
I was halfway through a pretty rude response to your post, then the internet cut out. again. does that answer your question?
to see why still, even at 10.6.2 would rather be on Leopard:

But you’re right, I’m sure the almighty permissions fix will do the job. LMFAO
