Apple has debuted three new iPhone commercials on U.S. network and cable television that focus on the company’s “there’s an app for that, there’s an app for just about anything” selling point. Each spot ends with the voiceover: “Yup. There are 75,00 apps for just about anything. Only on the iPhone.”

[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “rim shot” for the heads up.]
Nice, but not edgy enough.
Dine in dine out is pretty weak – the others are good though.
I like the music in these, it’s energetic without being cute.
yeah– but at least they’re making a point to mentioning the 75,000 apps —
what’s Palm up to now ??
and Zune Tang’s “zune” ?
GPark is a POS. Wish they’d quit featuring it.
Some of those get really bad reviews in the App Store.
The NYC subway one and Crossword puzzle. You’d think they’d check first.
iBird is fantastic, BTW. Especially the pro version.
These ads are kind of dull, probably only a response to Microsoft’s new app store.
I wonder if Mac vs. PC will ever do an iPod vs. Zune or something like that. That might violate some principle of advertising in dilution of brand, but my advertising education at Syracuse University is about 25 years old!
Compared with the garbage that normally is associated with TV ads, I believe these are something special. Now let’s see some of these for the Mac.
Perhaps showing off Exposé and Spaces at the same time (it can be done) or Stacks or goodness knows what, with a slogan like
“Yep, there’s a click for that. Only on a Mac.”
thank God they changed the music.
Looking for porn? Yep, there’s an app for that now too. (About time.)
Can we please have a voiceover in Blighty from someone who doesn’t sound like a cretinous chav? I cringe every time the advert plays. You need to hear it to believe it. The Yankee chap at least sounds vaguely sentient.
that iBird app is for the birds. Sorry I had to say it.
Here’re a few initial reactions:
– wow, the music gets kinda loud towards the end…
– workaholics, shopaholics, alcoholics…?
– and now they can add the porn app…!
The music is Submarine Symphonika from the Submarines.
These ads ROCK. They do exactly what they are supposed to – sell the PRODUCT. If you want some fancy ad that dances around but barely tells you anything, then look no further than Palm Pre.
So I don’t get it, are there apps on this iphone thingy?
That bird app deserves TWO commercial mentions? It was in an older iPhone commercial. Like, with 75,000, they can’t find something else to plug?
*Glad to see GuitarToolkit mentioned. My most-used and most-useful app, by far.

iBird is one of Apple’s best selling apps, in the top 100. Birding is a $62 billion market, so they know where the money is.
Two songs, from the same album, in Apple ads!
