AC \ WestJet, Plus and MInus on both.
I recently did a trip to Winnipeg from Toronto, flew AC to and WestJet from, flight cost same in each direction this way or double if I went just one carrier.
AC had inflight entertainment, and power for my computer, included.
WestJet was $6 a seat for Movies and had no power, I could not see the crapy screen on the in seat monitor ether. Staff was about the same so price being equal I will chooses AC for my next flight.

You flew in a much smaller plane and older on Air Canada. Your flight attendants were in a labour dispute with Air Canada and were not happy campers. Air Canada was just bailed out by the Canadian Government du to poor management, for the third time!
In contrast, the flight attendants for WestJet are very pleasant. They fly in newer, bigger planes. They are part owners of a very profitable company. To top it all off, they have the highest passenger satisfaction rate in North America.
Free movies must mean a lot to you.

Geddy, you presumptuous fool. I spent a summer in Montreal between college semesters, as well as three weeks in Toronto a year later. I’m pretty sure that some of the people I met there may very well have been Canadian.
I also had a girlfriend from Quebec and am of the mind that that might qualify her as being Canadian. At least that was the impression she was under.

I’ve flown with them several times and can’t say they were particularly good or bad. Uneventful.. like Canada! (Used to live in Ottawa for 3 yrs, btw.. loved it!.. and the Health System which might even claim to be better than Australia’s!)
This is in contrast to Virgin Blue (Oz) which is just a flying cattle truck. Or Air Pacific which breaks out the top drawer for free if you get to chatting with the stewies.
