“Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was egged by a protester during a speech he gave at a Hungarian University,” Matt Asay reports for CNET.
“As this video shows, the protester rose to his feet to challenge Microsoft for stealing billions in Hungarian taxpayer money, then started hurling eggs at Ballmer, who was forced to take cover behind a desk,” Asay reports.

Ahh, the memories. Hopefully, those eggs were properly aged. Too bad the protester wasn’t more closely related to Al Hrabosky.
A good eggsample of a cracked and fried mind not knowing the yolk is on him, and a yellow way to make a point.
There are dozens of ways to protest, but the best way is to let the opposition speak so that it’s lameness can be appreciated.
Something that too many “activist” students fail to understand.
Their idea of free speech? Shut up the ones you don’t agree with.

Aw, c’mon.. eggs are not assault. They’re a harmless protest, just like the ol’ pie-in-the-face routine.
Not the classiest, but effective in getting media attention, and certainly less harmful than MS’s day-to-day business practices.
The egg thrower pales in comparison to the harmful effects of shoddy software. People think bad software is just harder to use. It also causes people to lose jobs, possibly lose their lives, and get hurt in many other ways.
Think how much money has been wasted because we’ve been forced to use Microcrap? Money that can also go toward food, education, healthcare, etc.
Support Linux for the long term, and buy Apple for the near term. Boycott Microsoft in the immediate term!

The next day, an angry Ballmer was spotted in Berlin:
(Reuters) “A German family were stunned when a rampaging bull burst through the back door of their house, charged around the living room, and then left by the front door.
“The animal basically did a tour of the hall, the kitchen and the living room before leaving the building,” said Paul Kemen, a spokesman for police in the western city of Aachen on Monday. “It came in the back and went out the front.”

May be in the US you are all protected by antitrust laws so you can’t have a situation like that, but here in Europe, West or East, Microsoft has been shopping for FREE billions for years and years thanks to the corrupted administrations as the shirt of the guy was pointing out!

The article does not “explain very well” at all why this is MS’s ‘fault’. After reading the article at the link above, It sounds like the Hungarian Government is to blame, not MS.
