  2. Let’s not use this as an excuse for ideological diatribes. Though MDN’s political leanings are clear, let’s simply treat this as Apple-related news since it’s important for Apple to remain up-to-date in the global marketplace. Magic Word is “try”, as in “try” to be civil!

  3. So do you think Bin Laden’s still rockin’ a PowerBook G4, or has he upgraded to Core 2 duo?

Maybe he has a Macbook Air, much cooler looking when cruising the internet cafes in Quetta. Poor bastard thinks he’s found lots of videos of camels on You Tube, but its just Ann Coulter…

  4. الله يبارك اولئك الذين يسعون الى السلام والتسامح الديني. محمد فعلت ذلك مع اليهود ، وبذلك يمكن لهذا الجيل مع المسيحيين والمسلمين واليهود والبوذيين.

I’m with you there. No incendiary comments … oops … “incendiary” bad choice of words there …

I’m all bucked up by this splendid news. Panic should help celebrate by producing a special Arabic-language version of Transmit with a camel icon instead of a little truck.

  6. Excellent. With the US dollar and economy in the toilet thanks to the Bush Administration’s laughable economic policies, Apple need to get their income from elsewhere.

  7. @Johan:

There are 1.3 billion Muslims in the world. That’s 1 in 5 people on the planet. I guess they are all enemies.

Only 300 million of those are Arabs. There are around 60 million Arabs that are not Muslims (predominantly Christians). I guess they should buy PCs.

The “free world” refers to what exactly? If you are referring to the USA as the free world, it would be an assumption that the remaining 5.9 billion people are either “not free” or somehow less relevant. I guess they should not be a market for computer products.

Perhaps Apple should decide that since its products are helping “them” fight us, that it should not export any products and keep it all in the “free world”.

Funny how you started your post with “some things [sic] I don’t understand”.
