  1. ‘improves overall stability and performance’

Something that really really really needs to be true since all the iLife parts can bring the mighty Mac Pro to a dead, spinning beach ball, standstill that might require even the draconian pull-the-plug-to-get-out-of-it solution, this is way overdue. What a total embarrassment that Steve’s hardware can’t run his own software without serious problems.

    We’ll see.

“all the iLife parts can bring the mighty Mac Pro to a dead, spinning beach ball, standstill”

Have you run all the system and iLife updates? I only knew one new iMac that was doing that and it was fixed with recent system and iLife updates, other than that, none.

I have a single Core MBP laptop and iLife never crashed it. I do most of my iMovies, iDVD’s, iWeb work on an iMac G5 (last version) with not one crash. I know of two 4 year old G5 Dual Core Towers with only 1.5GB of RAM making iMovies using iPhoto etc., and none crashed. Nothing even beachballed.
