Apple today opened Apple Store online for Mexico.
MacDailyNews reader “since185” explains, “This is great news. I just bought a 24-inch Aluminum iMac a few weeks ago, having to drive 2 hours away to Cancun to an Apple authorized reseller after waiting 1-1/2 months for it on backorder.”
“Before today, one had to go to Apple Latin America site which would just give you a list of the Apple Authorized resellers in Mexico and always quoted prices in US Dollars which would be converted to pesos when sold,” explains “since1985.”
“since185” explains, “As of today, one can go onto Apple Mexico’s online store and order iPods and Macs and have them delivered within Mexico, and all prices quoted are
pesos.”

It was said that SJ had lunch with Carlos Slim some time back… I guess we know what that must have been about now.
Now all we need is iTunes Music Store and THEN we’re cool !
Having lived in Mexico for months at a time over the last three years, I say good luck getting reliable deliveries unless you’re in a seriously major city. But, it’s a great step in the right direction…
Apple Store? We don’t need no stinking Apple Store.
