Apple today released iTunes 7.5 for Mac and Windows.
iTunes 7.5 features the ability to activate iPhone wherever service is offered and support for Phase, a new interactive music game designed exclusively for iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod (fifth generation). This release also includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.

Wonder if this also fixed the CD bug with iTunes in Leopard?
i.e. if you put a CD in iTunes to rip, when you click it disappears, and the only way to find it is to press the eject button, then when you put disk in for a second time it recognises it again but this times rips it.
* And not it’s not just me and my MacBook Pro, it’s happened to my Mac owning friends too.

I hoped they would fix what I thought it was a bug with iTunes on Leopard, namely that you can no longer encode an aac file at full 320 kbit. I tested 7.3.2 7.4.2 and now 7.5 under Leopard and they all encode at 320 vbr even when the vbr checkbox is unchecked. I no longer believe it’s a bug but I cannot see the reason for Apple to make this change. And so far I have not seen any mention of this in any forum 🙁 🙁 🙁
Maybe next update vlad’s sense of humor can be made snappier.
