  1. I installed the battery update (15 inch MacBook Pro bought in March), noted I was practically full, and chose to discharge it while programming in Eclipse, using xchat and Adium, listening to iTunes, etc.

At 33%, my MBP suddenly…turned off. I don’t mean the proper shut down sequence: I mean quickly went to black, light at bottom wasn’t blinking, etc.

I’m unsure if this sudden shut down is due to the new battery update though. Anyone else have issues?

  2. listen to this…
i decided to run on battery for a while on my macbook pro 15″
it got down to 27% on my battery, and completely shut off. i turned it back on and i got the startup sound, and it shutdown again.

i went to plug it up to my charger, and noticed there was no light on showing it was charing/connected. at this point i start to worry. i then boot it up, and the fans kick on high blast, as high as they can go. none of my menu bars work, and the battery shows an x, and no battery connected. i didnt bother to disonnect charger.
at this point i shut it down. i took off the battery and replaced it. i booted it back up and it was just as fine as it can be.

    really weird..

  3. After installing the battery update 1.3, the number of recharge cycles jumped from 135 to 156. What’s up with that?!?

Battery health says 88% in iStat Pro, but I don’t remember what it was before the update.
