Minneapolis…
Hey Mom!! Look at mmeeee!
Let the whining about iPhone development shackles begin!
The heck with web apps. I want apps that don’t have to work through edge or WiFi. The iPhone is a computer, it should act like one.
I’m with thelonious here (where’s he hiding) iPhone without proper applications sucks. Web apps – pah! On Windows mobile you can run anything, almost, especially the fantastic Word and Excel from our beloved benefactors. Sometimes the user interface doesn’t make it but that’s DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, for you.
Apple, what’s web 2.0, some new stuff or something? Real users need legacy (with updates/third parties when Word documents aren’t compatible) even if the new software (Buena Vista –
for some light relief) makes the hardware swim like an albatross in a tub of (dung). Better to be able to do it s-l-o-w-l-y than not be able to do it at all – ask the girlfriend – do you have one?
MagicWord ‘develop’, I swear they are psychic.
noticed how Seattle, WA is always in the picture?
Lets hope Apple does come up with it’s OWN real apps for iPhone.
But wait… all Googles CLOUD services will COME very soon.
November 25th.
The phone is for travel. Sure there is need for onboard true applications. But be patient. The phone has only come out this year. The Palm took three years to get it’s act on third party developing…
this product needs careful planning or Apple will have too many competitors copying all things Apple has done.

Code to code all those widgets BACK onto the iPHONE.
It’s all the rage!!!! You shall soon see.
Yes Minneapolis…2.5 million people in the surrounding area with 4 Apple Stores. Life is good to the Mac in Minnesota!
Repeat after me… “The iPhone is not a computer, the iPhone is a specialized media & communications device. The iPhone is not a computer….”
