Hey, it put the timeline back in iMovie 08, restored all of my lost files since I bought my first Apple machine in 82, and recalculated my taxes for the past ten years to get me a bigger refund. Thanks Apple!
Are you sure you’re not playing the blues backwards?
well, my MacBook Pro feels much snappier since I applied this update.
nah, playing the blues backwards never got me fragged. Now… back in the day… Santana seemed to always be playing when the good stuff showed up to the party.
Snappy’s sister’s Soap Opera Syrup just got sappier.
update not allowing me to update.
makes my software updates snappier!
I should have learned by now never to read articles on software updates. It really brings out the dimwitted comedians.
WOW, the green + button now works …not!
Lighten up, LorD Francis.
LorD 1776: “I should have learned by now . . .”
Isn’t that a symptom of dimwittedness, your LorDship?
Sir Josh,
A symptom of dimwittedness? Why, yes Josh. Yes it is. Ya got me there buddy.
Lighten up? Lighten Up? LIGHTEN- FREAKIN’ -UP ?!?!? Oh, alright Sarge, if it will make you happy – consider me light as a feather. Also happy as a lark and just chock full of sunshine and lollipops. Is that better my good man?
Oh LorDy, I’m just Joshing you.
My name is Francis Soyer, but I go by “Psycho”. Any of you homos call me “Francis”, and I’ll kill you.
Hi Francis, whatcha up to?
Hey Francis,
Hey there big boy wanna play with my…mac.
MDN magic word: “England” as in where The real Quentin came from
Homo? Vas is Das Homo? Is this like Homo Sapien? Or is this not where people live in the West? All so confusing.
After the comedy dies down does anyone know exactly what this update addresses?
It’s not just for iLife 08 because I don’t have it installed (iLife 06, yes).
Is it not available for those that do not have iLife (any version)?
To QuickTimeKirk:
From Macfixit.com:
“QuickTime 7.2 compatibility update delivers iLife app enhancements
Apple has released the QuickTime 7.2 compatibility update, which carries no detailed release notes, indicating only that it “improves iLife” compatibility.
The new release makes modifications only to the following file:
/System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component
Though Apple makes no indication regarding specific enhancements, each of the new iLife ’08 applications has displayed significant QuickTime-related issues for some users. See our iMovie and iPhoto special reports for details.”

I wonder if this fixes the crashing of exports into m4a and .rm files?
I had to go back 7.1.6 in order to get a QT utility that allows me to export my audio files to m4a and .rm. Oh, sure, the export began … but then it would crash and not complete the export for .rm files. 7.2 was a disaster.
So does anyone think this will fix the Quicktime bug (no video, just audio) introduced in the last QT update from Apple?!
