This teenager sold himself too cheaply! He put in over 500 hours.
Wow they will give a car away for absolutely nothing these days – that phone is going nowhere. Hi I just unlocked the iPhone and here is the address of where I sold the phone to…
I don’t know… that’s a pretty good return on a summer job.
what!!!
Because CertiCell is too dumb to figure it out for themselves? Maybe they’re in the wrong business.
Keep in mind that he got 3 more iPhones, which he’ll certainly unlock and then he’ll definitely cash in…and you can bet the time investment in the 3 new ones will be much less than 500 hours.
TOO CHEAP??????
He got a car and 3, 8GB iPhones. I don’t know how much you made when you were a teenager, but it sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
Rory – Keep in mind that he got 3 more iPhones, which he’ll certainly unlock and then he’ll definitely cash in…and you can bet the time investment in the 3 new ones will be much less than 500 hours.
Didn’t you read the article? He’s giving the phones to his 3 partners.
Still, what’s the federal, state & local tax on a gifted 350Z? There goes his eBay profits.
‘a sweet Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones,'”
Which he will undoubtably hack those 3 iPhones and trade them for new cars too.
Nice racket.
Ah, signs of another Internet or tech bubble. What’s next stocks selling for over $500/share that don’t really produce anything. Oops – thats Google. B U R S T.
So, he only handed over the unlocked iPhone- not the data of HOW he unlocked it?
This kid better start shopping for a GARAGE- more cars to come!
I think it’s crazy.
omg that’s a sweet ride
Now if this kid held out for the new M3, THEN I would say he’s a bright fellow.
A 350Z? Come on now kid…
you guys really think this is true dumb asses
A $28,000.00 car plus $3,000.00 worth of iPhones?
CertiTell must be expecting enormous business from this hack.

RE: “This teenager sold himself too cheaply! He put in over 500 hours.”
$30,000 worth of merchandise – 500 hours – um… $60 per hour – not too shabby for a17 year old.
That works out to $120k year – I bet most posters here aren’t making that much…
Good point. the phone is one thing to hand over but he still has the knowledge of how its done.
Unless they can reverse engineer it.
Hope they pay for the car tax as well.
