Aspyr Media today released a free update for Quake 4.
This is an official update for Quake 4. It will fully update any previous version of Quake 4 to version 1.4.2. It is recommended for all users.
This update affects pure server and protocol consistency, and adds a number of other multiplayer fixes including support for QUAKE 4 TV. The read me has a complete listing of bug fixes as well as directions on how to operate QUAKE 4 TV. This update will be necessary for Mac users attempting to play multiplayer against PC users with the PC 1.4.2 patch.

Q4 multiplay is stupid in the way that it isn’t posible to set up a game against only bots like in UT
I liked the graphics in Q4, but I liked the game play in Halo Combat Evolved much better.

I just did a quick check. They’ve got to be 98% identical. The only differences I can see are tiny ones on the edges of the “a”, “f” and “j”. And that’s at 500% magnification!
Doggone it. Sorry everyone. (That’s embarrassing.) I thought I had the other page open about fonts. Geeze. Must be time for a vacation.
