“T-Mobile has all but confirmed that it will carry the iPhone in Germany, according to a leaked text banner and product shot hosted on its own website,” MacNN reports.
“Calling it ‘the new cult mobile phone’ and including an image of the iPhone with the AT&T logo edited out, the carrier’s two images reinforce earlier claims of a temporary store listing for the device as well as a direct assertion by the regional newspaper Rheinische Post that T-Mobile had already won a contract to sell the device in the country,” MacNN reports.

Seig Heil.
Looks like someone let the cat out the bag.
@ron,
dumbass.
@ ron
Cupertino Über Alles.
ron, at least spell your inflammatories correctly.
We used to say that when we were being bombed in England when I was 8. I never learned to spell in German.
@ron,
Do your parents know you are using their computer?
T-Mobile coverage in the U.S. (at least in Philthadelpia) sucks!!!
Ron probably mean: Hail to the King baby.
… Damn I’m looking good.
Sieg Heil
@ ron
Did you know that Churchill knew every detail of that bombing raid before it happened, and yet did nothing to stop it? It’s true. To have done so would have indicated to the Germans that the allies had broken the Enigma code. Fun facts!
It appears that for once, I lucked out. I already have a T-Mobile account, so I will not have to change carriers.
One thing wierd though. I couple of weeks ago T-Mobile offered me a special discount in exchange for locking me in for another two years. This was shortly before the T-Mobile iPhone rumors surfaced. It almost seemed liked this was an insurance policy in case they did not land the iPhone deal to prevent defections.
You dolts! Don’t you know that your not supposed to mention the war! Geeesh!
forgot to add the relevant link:
Fawlty Towers episode #6: The Germans
soon Microsoft will publish a titled : mien kampf
There is something fishy with all these photos on the T-Mobile site. Why would they not have pictures of the phone with German language? If the German version is not finished yet, then why would they be messing around with a web site design?
well, thats expected from the americans… they still think that the Germans are all nazis…
but thats ok, because i still think that all americans are brain-dead…
ah, what a wonderful world we live in…
what´s with the suck ads when on clicks on a link in an MDN story?
I thought that Germany was the land of “Chocolate”. That would make them prefer LG.
Homer: Mmmmm… iPhone.
@Historian
Know your history before addressing it. That was a specific raid on Coventry.
Weird MW: york as in that was probably also bombed.
50 German firms under investigation for helping Iran’s nuke program…
At least they are getting the iphone, feel sorry for those Countries who have no idea how soon the iphone will land on their shores! Australia, Canada, Greenland, Africa, South America, The Bahamas, the list is soooooooo very long!
Appreciate the iphone if you have one.
@ron,
You make it sound like American companies (or the US government, for that matter) never supplied “assistance” to rogue nations before, or did you already forget about all the money and weapons the US gave to Saddam Hussein during the Iran / Iraq war?
Still a dumbass.
For all the other dumbasses here who may happen to think that Germany is still Nazi: I guarantee you there are more Nazi’s in the US now than in Germany.
In any case, It looks like I’m gonna have to change providers to get an iPhone. That sucks, because T-Mobile’s service isn’t so great here in Germany, although their coverage is decent.
Ron likes to hate large groups of people. It makes him feel better.
I find it rather stupid to see people’s aspect of Germany. They probably haven’t even been in Germany or therefore ever lived there.
As gzero says, there are probably more nazis in the U.S. rather than in Germany.. it’s plain naive to believe that Germany still is a country full of nazis.
I find it rather sad and pathetic to see people [still] today talking from such a naive perspective about other countries they have no idea about. Fed by media who are owned by the big companies (General Electrics for example) that even sell weapons to the “enemies”.
