  1. You know, I really wish Apple would get down off this Web 2.0 bandwagon and just open up the iPhone to allow for REAL software development. Sorry, but a web 2.0 application simply can’t replace a local software application installed on the iPhone that syncs to your data on your computer and doesn’t require the Internet to access the data in it. That is why the Treo will still reign supreme in my world, and you will never see me owning an iPhone.

  2. What the hell is Web 2.0? How come everything Apple implements revolves around open formats & independent industry approved and accredited standards? Dorks.

Get off your ‘standards’ high horse, Apple. That isn’t where the industry is headed, or what users want. The mighty innovators at Microsoft know this and that is why they reign supreme in market share and cost—pretty much the only criteria anyone should consider when purchasing PC’s or phones. The only 2 questions everyone should be asking are:

    Is it cheap?

    What is everyone else buying?

The answer is Windows, my MAC friends.

    Your potential. Our passion.™

  3. At my company (more than 100,000 employees worldwide), more and more applications are becoming web based. On the half full side, doing so reduces cost of tracking licenses and other maintenance. On the half empty side, if a server / network crashes, we’re on hold. On the “What? You got a glass?!?” side, I’m sure it’s part of the company’s plan to subtlety encourage us to work off hours giving applications can be accessed from any machine, i.e. our home machines via our VPN.

    Peace.

  4. Zune Tang.
