USA Today: No buyer’s remorse for Apple iPhone

“The professional critics have offered their iPhone opinions, giving Apple’s new cellphone mostly a thumbs up,” Jim Hopkins reports for USA Today.

“Now it’s time for thousands of consumers to weigh in after they bought iPhones this weekend. The gadget went on sale starting Friday night at nearly 2,000 Apple and AT&T stores after six months of anticipation,” Hopkins reports.

“USA Today heard from more than 350 people who said they bought an iPhone. Based on their first weekend’s experience, virtually all of them said they’d do it again,” Hopkins reports.

  1. I’m at work right now and of all the people I have shown it to, including managers with buying power, said they were going to get one. Nuf said. With the ability to work with Exchange Server right around the corner, this should help propel it into the enterprise workplace. WooHoo!

  2. Whats going on with Enderle??? saw this qoute in an article!!

Rob Enderle, an industry analyst with The Enderle Group, said the activation problems probably won’t hurt iPhone sales.

“This kind of thing is not unusual when you have this number of people trying to buy something all at once,” Enderle said.

Depending on how the companies handle customer’s complaints, it could in fact help, he said. If customers feel the company has treated them well, they are more likely to buy and recommend its products in the future.

“It doesn’t matter whether your product breaks or not,” Enderle said. “It matters how well you treat your customers.”

  3. Developing products you never even thought you needed until you bought one and used it.

  4. I am having my business partner in Hawaii pick up an 8 gIg iPhone for me and set up an AT&T account for me, just so I have one to use when I go there for business meetings. It is the closest I will get to use one until it hits Australia. UNLESS, there are roalming agreements from AT&T to Optus or some other carrier here. Then – do I have an Aussie Workaround! Not cheap but I who cares! HAVING the first or at least one of the first iPhones in Oz would be a kick!!! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
