Apple’s online store is currently displaying the familiar message that often precedes new product additions:
We’ll be back soon. We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly.

An update to mini?
Bring on the C2D Mini.
Or something else cool.
This is exciting. I wonder what it’ll be. Hopefully new iPods… I can dream, can’t I?
Hahahaha!
Apple tried to catch us napping on Sunday!

“And I don’t know why [Apple is] acting like it’s superior. I don’t even get it. What are they trying to say?” — Bill Gates on the Mac ads
Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected. – Steve Jobs
Final Cut Pro?
New FCP looks killer so far….
No hardware updates, just Final Cut Studio 2 and the new Final Cut Server.
I hope a new mac mini is in there or a mid-range tower.
I will be the first to buy one.
UK Store isn’t down 🙁
Who are you guys thinking there’s a new mini here? Wow, think bigger. No minis. Certainty.
Apple ProRes 422
Next genration post production format.
Uncompressed HD quality at SD file sizes.
10-bit, 4:2:2, full raster, VBR
AHHAAAA!!
Just what iTMS, the AppleTV and our poor overstuffed hard drives needs.
Soundtrack Pro 2
Suround Sound Mixing
5.1, plug-ins, library of over 1000 music tracks and sound effects.
Yep, after all HD and surround sound is going to be standard in a few years.
No OEM BlueRay drives yet?
Leopard?
Whoops…seems not. Just refurbishing the walls of the store, i guess
Shinobi,
same here.
If a mid-range tower doesn’t come*, I’ll be buying the new mini.
* … and it’s only about ten years overdue now!
Prediction:
Steve Jobs at WWDC, June 2007 – “2005 was the year of HD. 2007 is the year of 3D.”
Apple is announcing that the NAB announcement is being delayed until October 2007.
“Compressor rounds out the new Final Cut Studio 2…All these products are included: still $1299. We’ve also made it really easy to upgrade, the move to FCS2 for $499. We’ve made it just $699 upgrade for any version of FCP from the beginning.”
“Final Cut Studio is available next month”
“We’re introducing a new application today: Color. Real time application color grading.
Looks like only pro software day today folks.
The suspense is killing me!
Yeah, mid-range tower. The Mac Pro is too much. The Mac mini is way too little.
Think Mac IIcx/ci!
Quad-Core. Two PCI slots, 4 RAM slots, 2 drive bays… RAID 0? FireWire 400 & 800 ports. 4 USB2 ports.
Just DO IT, Apple! We WANT these!
the store is back up. Nothing but FCP 2
Ok, now this is what we needed to see:
• Mac applications to shut the “not focused on computers” morons up.
• Nice (and greatly anticipated) software upgrade to finally have something to justify all the processing power the Mac Pro offers.
• And a confirmation that Apple has been working on things besides iPhone and Leopard, to shut up the “Apple is falling behind/spreading itself too thin” morons.
Yay Final Cut Studio 2!!
blu-ray drives, updated video card for mac pro and new displays sizes maybe?
• And a confirmation that Apple has been working on things besides iPhone and Leopard, to shut up the “Apple is falling behind/spreading itself too thin” morons.
Gee whiz OzzysCross101, who’s the moron? The point about Apple spreading itself too thin is because it has being said that Apple has too many projects going. You just emphasized that fact then you call others morons for having originally made that staement!
AMAZING !
For all those who thought new Macs would be introduced, it ain’t going to happen until the Intel Santa Rosa chip set based boards are in Apple’s hands in sufficient quantity. I know it is close and it would be a travesty to introduce new non Xeon Macs without it. Santa Rosa spells the end of some of the 32 bit limits that the Intel transition entailed.
