The news in the US has become propaganda, though they won’t admit it. It’s what they don’t report that makes it so; by making “choices” about what’s relevent, they stop being the objective reporters they claim to be. It’ll be interesting to see what else is reported with added competition.
All anyone has to do is turn on Telemundo or Univision news and see that there’s a lot that isn’t reported on English-speaking stations. You don’t have to understand Spanish to see understand the qualitative difference in reporting.

Now, my usage of the word lighthearted involves notions of happiness, friendliness, cheerful, and so on. But, if you’re referring to your bigoted statements as lighthearted, thinking lighthearted means “insulting, derogatory, hurtful, indecent, abusive, etc.,” — then I can understand you.
