  1. And to think, it was only a few short years ago Muslim nations boycotted Apple for using Israeli made PRAM batteries.
    Oh how soon they forget ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

  2. You bunch of jerks!

ALJazeera English employs a huge number of extremely well respected journalists.

In fact having watched AlJazeera here in the UK I can say it was very well balanced. It’s actually reporting many stories that western news agencies should be covering and aren’t.

It’s a shame that the usual ignorance that many Americans have about the wider world is so well represented here. Shame on you.

  3. Al Jazeera is a good thing for the Arab world. It is a source of information in a region where many despots want no information at all to be disseminated. The fact that they use Apple technology will make them more effective.

  4. Hey wait a minute!

    I’m a gun totin’ liberal.

    Refresh this!

As of yet, my demographic doesn’t have a heavily biased 24 hour news channel. I’m just jealous, Anna, that you have Fox news to spoon feed you the world in a way that doesn’t require you to think beyond your own tiny way of looking at it.

    You Foxies are so sensitine.

  5. Hey Switched.

We won WW2, so we get to be jerks and ignorant of the world, until our society implodes. The way I see it we have another 30 years of that, so don’t rain on our “ignorant jerkified parade.”

    We earned it.

You should try it. It’s fun!

    MDN secret word = others

i.e. Why do “others” have to post here when I am having so much fun with it.

  6. that’s BS “all of us who voted on Nov. 7th”

The new democrats that got elected ran on more conservative platforms, so I don’t think it’s quite time to celebrate that America has finally adopted your whacko liberal ideology. Besides, most of the it was a big-spending liberal republican who got kicked out.

America is not a liberal country. It only will be once democrats convince a majority of people that living off the backs of hard working Americans is the right thing to do.

  7. Dear Switched:

I agree with you whole heartedly. Some Americans are amongst the most xenophobic, parochial, and provincial people on the planet. We will be well served when we leave the sports fan mentality behind when it comes to politics and international relations.

During the Cold War era, there was at least the idea that it is better to know your enemy well than just shut them out. But then there is always the danger that, by talking to your enemy, he may become a friend and then what would the fear mongers have to trade on?

  8. I’ve had several “real” behind the scenes tours (not the tourist thing) of CNN and know folks that work and have worked there. Macs are in the minority there, but very well represented. Most of the folks in the filed seem to carry Mac portables.

Couldn’t speak about the “others.” (there’s that word again) (the synchronicity at this site always amazes me.

  9. Constant
You are kidding about not having a heavily biased news channel, right?

    All of Us…
So we are to shut up like libes did the past six years? In that case, I should be screaming. Sore winner. Good point , Hooey.

    Switched
Anyone that spews crap that you agree with is considered balanced. Right?
