  1. Hey, let´s comment:

“Nothing good is going to come from over there, nothing”

    > yeah, like Steve Jobs´ Dad for example ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” /> Or the oil you got in your truck.

“I bet 40% of the wacos from the mideast would careless it your throat was cut”

    > I bet you wouldn´t care if your neighbours throats were cut – especially if you don´t know them. You would be scared for one month or less. Sad fact.

“the arab world missed out on WWII, and now have to learn things that western civ has already dealt with — peace through democracy.”

    > wait. everyone who missed out on WORLD war II doesn´t know a cent on democracy? Like – hmm – Switzerland?????? You don´t really think so, do you?

“The mideast is a worthless part of the world. They bring death and destruction to the world. All because of their EVIL god. 5% do the evil work. 50% agree with it and smile at the death and destruction of others. So what is that 50% worth– 5-10 billion people?? “

    > yeah. like the US of A killing approx 43000 people in Iraq alone is not evil. America has invaded Iraq without the worlds (UN for example) approval. America brings war in and they defend themselves. poor evil people.

“Liberals are just plain clueless to true evil.”

    > best one. Republicans are. ^^

  2. Hey Shogun, Go fall on your sword. I am pissed off and have had enough of these “middle east” idiots.
Hey Kreuzberg, You are an even bigger idiot. While I don’t agree with some of the things Pres Bush is doing I support him 100%. Why are people so eager to attack our own Pres when you have all of these other leaders in the world that are just plain evil. I don’t understand you liberal idiots. You are all GD IDIOTS!

  3. Kreuzberg: “Bush is the only American president in history who has sanctified torture.”

    Sanctify:
1 : to set apart to a sacred purpose or to religious use : CONSECRATE
2 : to free from sin : PURIFY
3 a : to impart or impute sacredness, inviolability, or respect to b : to give moral or social sanction to
4 : to make productive of holiness or piety <observe the day of the sabbath, to sanctify it — Deuteronomy 5:12(Douay Version)>

Yes, Kreuzberg, you are an idiot. Want me to look that up for you, too?
    ——————
Kreuzberg, I dare you to walk down any street in an Muslim country (Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia) and start reading the Bible.
Take off the left wing, “hate Bush” glasses and see the real world.
Oh yeah, and Bush is not running for President again.

  4. Webster, I dare you to walk through small towns in texas being black. Or wearing a beard and a turban.

What do you think is gonna happen to you wearing a swastika in Israel? Do you think they will ask you if you wear it by religious means? If you are hindu? I don´t think so. It has become a political symbol.
And obviously, for some people, wearing the crux or reading the bible is a symbol, an offense. But do you really think being american (esp. looking like one) wouldn´t endanger you far more in arabian countries? But why? As much as people above stated “leave them on their own, they are not civilized”, muslims must have the right to say so too. We don´t understand / know their religion, their hierarchy, their lifes. And some of us even don´t accept all of this. Why should muslims do so?

“Why are people so eager to attack our own Pres when you have all of these other leaders in the world that are just plain evil.”

    > Because NOT being “officially” plain evil (though 60 % of the worlds population might think so of pres bush) makes you a good leader. And when people elect leaders, they have not only the right, but also the duty to attack them, when they do shit. like:
    — if YOU don´t have a clean household, don´t tell ME how to clean things up —

MW: lines. like – in the line(s) of fire

  5. wow, originally wanted to say something positive about these news. But I somewhat lost my appetite.

I still find the evolution of things somewhat frightening, especially when I run into U.S citizens who almost always start a conversation by excusing themselves…for being Americans.

Personally, I’ve spent lot of time in Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait since my company has lots of clients in the region. Being a western European, I always find it amazing how well educated the people in the region are. They’re mostly pretty fluent in 2-3 languages, they know lots about foreign politics and, well, they really enjoy spending time with us, the foreigners visiting them. They love discussing and explaining everything we would like to know about their culture.

I just wish some of you people, the ones who seem to believe that Arabs are born killing-machines with the priority to kill all cute americans, to encounter some of the people I’ve met. Even though the white man has peed on their culture and treated their people with enormous amounts of disrespect through ages – they will most likely smile and ask you if you want arabic coffee or maybe even a nice Shisha.

  6. They PEED on my culture. I don’t want to become a muslum!! They will kill all of us if we don’t covert to islam. I have yet to see the hindu religion cut peoples throats.

Who the hell thinks the people here vote for bush because they think the mideast is full of religious
mass murders I am a democrat that sees what is coming. Just look at all the anger when the Pope made a comment from a person hundreds of years ago. They killed a nun and millions freaked out.

The problem in the Middle East is not just a few “crazy people.” The main problem is most of the “average folks,” who respond positively to tribal/Arab/religious triumphalism. In addition, like most defective societies, they insist on blaming outsiders for their own problems, ensuring that these are not corrected. Western societies embraces public self-criticism, while the Middle East does not.

  8. Why isn’t anyone talking about the elephant in the room? The real problem here is religion itself. Fundamentalists killing because of some scribblings in some ancient book. That goes for religion in the middle east and america.

  9. James,

Islam had about 500 years less to evolve compared to christianity. 500 years ago, If you would have criticized God, The Pope or what not mentioned in the Old or New Testament – you would’ve ended up losing your life under very unpleasant circumstances. If some external race would’ve invaded the christian community 500 years back, claiming their superior religion or culture, I’m sure the christians wouldn’t have been acting like “gee, thanks!”.

  10. Ashamed world citizen…

If you are french or british, in 20 years you will have your paradise of a Muslim run france and UK.

They are taking over your countries and you are too liberal to see it coming.

Just saw they are now DEMANDING to teach islam in your public schools and you high brows will let them!

  11. Ashamed world citizen,

I’m not criticising any particular religion. I’m condemning Religion itself as an absurd superstitious belief. Some people believe in fairies, unicorns, Thor or Yahweh — the onus is on you to say why you believe in it.

  12. Oh sheit, Sunday morning and a crapload of nationalism on the MDN-channel.

By far the most backward country in the world is the US of A$$$$$$…
I’m with you Ashamed World Citizen. Never seen any country being so intolerable, so self-centric and so pathethic as the US.
If people don’t think like us, eat like us, shit like us, then we have to teach them. If not the soft way, then the hard way.
What is it with all those idiots there, having the greatest technology, access to any information-source at any time, but to lazy or dumb to do a proper search in Google or any other internet source and READ some to form a proper, well informed opinion before you open your a$$.

To James, (and supporting Ashamed World Citizen in that), ever heard of the Crusades? In the name of the holy, lets do some nice crusade. The USA is no different in that. All of the reasons can be related to similar ones 500 years back.
    1. Trouble at home, unemployment, poverty, grumbling lower and middle class.
    2. Military is in despair after loosing their lifetime enemy. Need some new to justify the money for new toys.
    3. Lots of money to be made, was it gold and jewels in ancient times, it is oil now.

Being such a righteous christian as bush, he should read the bible and turn his other cheek to whom he’s been slapped by.

MW: Single….It only takes one single step to change the world. That single step is from intolerance to tolerance.

  13. re: stickman

I think I’ll have less of a problem learning to speak arabic than killing moslems – and this just because an incompetent government claims to fight for, what was it again? Right, Freedom and democracy.

It’s a common misunderstanding that the moslems want to convert non-moslems. It is however true that they like their children to remain moslems – even if they’re forced to raise them in a non-moslem society.
If you would be forced to leave your country, whatever, maybe you’re not even forced -would you want your children to convert?

What makes me confused is your reaction towards these changes in European schools. Would you prefer a school system where people barely know anything about different cultures? I know, this might make morally worthless soldiers – it’s not as easy to kill when you’re well educated. Maybe this is the reason why the US Administration has been pulling their funds from so many public libraries – not to mention the closure of those 26 EPA libraries. Scientists are protesting – but hey, this will never get any headlines anyway, right?
However, it’s a disgrace to see how the US wants other countries to open up – whilst their own citizens are getting their freedom and individual integrity being pulled, one by one.

On a sidenote, and this is for the “evil cultures must be punished if they don’t obey to our superior lifestyle” kind of people. If evil would be based on simple mathematics; how come no one compares the amounts of bodybags caused by each culture or religion? Anyone here really believes that western culture or christianity wouldn’t take the lead? Honestly?

  14. Sorry Liberals, that the Mac community is not a bunch of hippies sitting in drum circles believing everything can be solved by the right words, and discussions.

For negotiations to work you have to have good moral core on both sides to honor the policy decided on. Hitler Sadam, Osama: goal is power not a fair civilization–evil doesn’t honor treaties, it lies to buy time to do more evil to gain more power. Bullies only understand force, they are the people MOST unlike you liberals and you can’t mentally process the fact that bullies don’t rule dreaming your (or our) peaceful world dreams.

I WAS a Democrat until they drove me our of it with blind stupidity of frequently not being able to see the hard facts of a situation. Home or abroad.
    AND….
What’s wrong with any war being about oil? What the hell do you think this country/economy runs on. OIL YOU DUFUS! It is (unfortunately) the lifeblood of our economy–without it our economy crashes. I can’t think of a MORE important reason to go to war than over oil–until we wean ourselves off this stuff on to some fuel form that originates here (If that’s possible). That Liberal crap “no war for oil” is the dumbest thing–you can’t grasp what liquid Americans are relying on driving to work, flying, heating, recreation, farming, making plastics, shipping produce across country and the stuff you buy off e-bay with? DUH!! No war for oil showed me how stupid you all are.

We need to smack every Liberal with a Clue Stick. Thank OUR God Liberals weren’t around in World Wars 1 or 2 or we NEVER would have won either of them. I agree Viet Nam was wrong. WW 1&2 and the Terrorists now are DIFFERENT folks it’s not Viet Nam. I know it brings back fun anti-war protest memories, but getting all sentimental is going to get us car bombs here and more dying on U.S. soil. We already had Pearl Harbor #2 at the World Trade Center. At least in WWII the Japanese had the moral character to attack a military base, not civilians! The Terrorists would kill your baby and your grandmother with not an ounce of regret. Wake up and stop fighting political parties and unite so this will end FASTER. Terrorists love you Liberals you give them the hope they desperately need when they wonder if they should keep killing because the U.S. doesn’t have the willpower to finish. You are supporting Osama’s very words. Hope your proud of yourselves.

And the thing over the Pope! Muslims pissed off because their religion was called violent and murderous. So they protested with riots, violence, threatened to kill the Pope, and actually killed a nun. Gee, glad they set us straight on THAT misconception! F’n Idiots.

  15. And the thing over the Pope! Muslims pissed off because their religion was called violent and murderous. So they protested with riots, violence, threatened to kill the Pope, and actually killed a nun. Gee, glad they set us straight on THAT misconception! F’n Idiots.

  16. “Who Cares?” and others result to name calling and the typical approach to the Middle East. “Leave them alone and they’ll leave us alone”…. Well, that’s not going to happen. Leave them alone, and they will go about their business of planning ways to intimidate the world into their Islamic Domination theory. You folks on the far left need to get a reality check, as there is no way in hell that the Jihadists are going to leave anyone alone. Their objective is to take over weaker governments and their military arsenals until they get to the point where they can take over a country or negotiate for nuclear weapons. At that point, they will use them and they will threaten the world, if each country doesn’t convert to their religion or pay for their lives through a tax.

All of this can be understood if you just look at history and understand the nature of the enemy. Now, it didn’t take any “right wing” upbringing for me to figure this out, because most of my family were die-hard Democrats…. However, they were Conservative Democrats, back in a time when such a thing existed. The problem with the LEFT today is they believe in Utopia, and my friends, Utopia doesn’t exist….

  17. “Who really cares about the middle east”

the U.S. does, especially the oil we thought it would be so easy to steal

“If they want to join the civilized world then they can”

what planet is this “civilized world” on?

by the way, would eiter of you have a prayer of passing a retard level test on Middle East geogaphy or history?

  18. they want to kill us because we are not them. […] the fundamentalists are fighting against the influence of western culture on their lifestyle.

No they don’t and no they’re not, mackie. They’re fighting against US military forces occupying what they view as prized territory.

like most defective societies, they insist on blaming outsiders for their own problems, ensuring that these are not corrected.

Read a history book, Kate. You obviously have no idea about the roots of our troubles in the Middle East.
