Taylor Hicks sues over Apple iTunes Music Store releases

“‘American Idol’ winner Taylor Hicks has sued a Tennessee music producer to halt the online distribution of songs the grey-haired crooner recorded five years before copping the reality TV crown. In a lawsuit filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in Alabama, Hicks charges that William Smith recently sold three of his songs via Apple’s iTunes music store,” The Smoking Gun reports.

  1. “American Idol”: The ridiculous, cloaked as entertainment, for the ignorant and idiots of this country, as it seeks the least worst artist.

    What people don’t realize is that American Idol selects the best amongst the worst, and is no guarantee that it will result in quality. True talent doesn’t require such contests; it naturally rises above the din of mediocrity.
