Apple extends WWDC 2006 early registration to July 7

Apple has extended early registration for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to July 7th.

Apple yesterday announced that CEO Steve Jobs will headline a team of Apple executives, including Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing; Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Software Engineering; and Scott Forstall, vice president of Platform Experience, to kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote preview of Mac OS X “Leopard” on Monday, August 7, 2006, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at San Francisco’s Moscone West.

  1. I knew it would only be a matter of nanoseonds before someone would try to read something negative into why they are extending the early registration. Its always a friggin conspiracy! Apple is hiding something.

    No conspiracy…it’s economics. You don’t lower the price on something that you are running out of. There are a limited number of tickets available. What is an alternative _positive_ reason for Apple to lower these prices? (I don’t know that “being nice” would fly with share holders so try to think of something reasonable).
