“There is a reason why I’m always that guy using one of the few Macs stranded away from the sea of PCs in the library. It’s not because Apple’s OS X is superior to Windows in terms of stability and speed, but more along the lines that OS X lets me be extremely productive with several key features. I am adept in utilizing each system to its potential, having used both for years on end. Macs just let me do more,” Paul Stamatiou blogs for his eponymous blog. “Here’s why.”
Why Stamatiou is more productive on a Mac:
• Exposé
• Dashboard
• Spotlight
• QuickSilver

I didn’t really get Expose until I mapped it to one of the mouse buttons. To be able to click and hold on a file, hit expose showing every folder window, then finding the correct one and dropping it in is just so nice. Why no one thought of this sooner is puzzling.
Although, I can’t really do that as easily with my mighty mouse that came the new iMac. You can’t click and hold on something while pressing another button at the same time.

Automator has saved me time. Not as much as I hoped when first reading about Automator but it has definitely has helped.
mudflapper, I actually have Exposé’s expose all windows function assigned to the scroller button but I’m just so used to hiding the current app when switching I never really use it. Now that I think of it, since Command-~ doesn’t work in Photoshop and Illustrator like it should, I might switch that button to expose app windows. I might find that useful.
I’m not going to give up on Exposé but I just can’t count it as one of the reasons why I’m more productive on a Mac.

© Try creating 60 new folders on Mac and then PC
As far as I can tell the quickest shortcut for windows excluding the new folder button which is also available in OSX is Right Click, Press W, Press F
On Mac hold down Cmd Shift and press N 60 times or do this 5 times and the select Cmd A Once folled by Cmd D twelve times.
Point is that this all adds up and costs you hours every year.
BTW My list includes;
Legibility of Dialogs and Text
Spotlight in Preferences and Folder Windows
Consistent Shortcuts
