What’s on Hillary Clinton’s Apple iPod?

“Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton doesn’t need ‘Respect’ – she’s already got it at the top of her iPod playlist,” Ian Bishop reports for The New York Post. “The surprisingly tech-savvy Clinton mixes Aretha Franklin’s 1967 landmark smash hit for the feminist movement into her playlist rotation alongside The Eagles’ 1975 Top 5 hit, ‘Take It to the Limit.'”

Clinton “told The Post her iPod has ‘got like 1,000’ songs stored away in its digital memory – offering a rare window into her private life,” Bishop reports. “The former first lady received her iPod, a white one, as a birthday gift last October from ex-prez hubby Bill… Like Clinton, President Bush sports an eclectic mix of tunes on his iPod, grooving to The Knack’s ‘My Sharona,’ John Fogerty’s ‘Centerfield’ and Van Morrison’s ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ along with hits from country crooners George Jones and Alan Jackson. Vice President Dick Cheney stays true his Western roots and tunes his iPod to Johnny Cash. New York’s senior senator, Chuck Schumer, received his iPod – already programmed with his 100 favorite tunes – as a Father’s Day gift in 2004, two months after his teenage daughters, Jessica and Alison, hoodwinked him into ticking off his faves. He grooves to the Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong and the Counting Crows – ‘my daughters have turned me on to some of the ’90s music,’ Schumer boasted.”

  1. For the (broken) record:
    => I don’t care what’s on Hill’s iPod
    => I don’t care what’s on Dubya’s iPod
    => I don’t care what’s on Queenie’s iPod

    This is <b>NOT<b> NEWS and only Apple-related in the most tangential sense. For some reason, Apple thinks there’s value in sharing Personality Playlists … silly-ass waste of screen real-estate, if you ask me – and nobody has.

    I didn’t say anything about the dozen or so personalities listed as being in line for Opening Day on 5th Avenue, but this is makes that sound like the Second Coming of Christ – if that’s your sort of thing.

    Like my children’s sex lives, I really don’t want to know these sorts of details. OK?

  2. C’mon effwerd, she would not listen to Alien Ant Farm’s Smooth Criminal. She’s old school and would definitely listen to Michael Jackson’s original!

    True, but she would want to appear hip and progressive, hence the newer version. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

    I did like your choice of Willie The Pimp.

    I couldn’t resist that one. Heh.

  3. “they dont even know how much $100billion is and google is just a web page, i can design it in 10 seconds with dreamweaver

    Challenge: Design and put your page up. I’ll give you more than ten seconds. I’ll give you a month. Then we’ll see if anyone can search billions of web pages using your search engine/page. Your web crawler better be 1000x faster than Google’s because you have a lot of sites to find in one month, let alone 10 seconds. I don’t believe Google is worth $100 Billion either, but invetors do.

  4. Then we’ll see if anyone can search billions of web pages using your search engine/page.

    Wow, you must be a fourth generation in-bred sheep-fucking retard to be so obtuse. Do you really think Overpriced actually intended to imply that he could design, engineer, and implement a search engine on par with Google in ten seconds with Dreamweaver?

  5. “Do you really think Overpriced actually intended to imply that he could design, engineer, and implement a search engine on par with Google in ten seconds with Dreamweaver?”

    As a fourth generation in-bred sheep-fucking retard I did. I’m retarded but this is what I read:

    “they dont even know how much $100billion is and google is just a web page, i can design it in 10 seconds with dreamweaver”

    That’s the way this retard took it. What’s your take? Seriously, was it sarcasm? I dunno. And don’t knock sheep fucking until you try it. Oh, and I’ve also made a lot of residual income since being in ‘Deliverance”.

  6. As a fourth generation in-bred sheep-fucking retard I did.

    I must commend you for taking my artificial vitriol in stride. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” /> I thought, for a political thread, it was sorely lacking in maniacal hatred so I figured I’d work some in.

    Anyway, I read it as saying he can lay out the page in ten seconds with Dreamweaver. Not engineer. Certainly, if you see “design” as the whole hog plus postage, your position is valid, but Overpriced was obviously referring to the simple graphic layout, i.e. the lazy self-important graphic designer position. Since no one can engineer any bit of software, except maybe Hello World, in ten seconds, it’s the only possible interpretation.

    I actually agree with you that Overpriced’s position is rather unsophisticated but when I rolled the attack die, it chose you. So there you have it.

  8. A billion in the USA is only one thousand million. Elsewhere it is one million million (a thousand million is just a thousand million). If an “American” “billionaire” moved to London, they’d only be a millionaire (unless, of course, they were really worth a million million, instead of a paltry few thousand million).
