I like windows xp, there is much more flexibility.
Okay, you got me. But still . . .
Why do old people kick me at the park?
Must i spend $ to get it? isnt there another way? my laptop already has xp, how can i install that to my imac?
the reason why XP boots up so fast in my opinion is because this movie has been accellerated!!
look how fast this guy is typing in web adresses, and even with numbers.. thats to fast!! its been faked!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. I asked in all seriousness.
Am I to gather you are unable to asnwer the question?
Ron, you’re a tool.
Can we please get back to MacDude *ahem* I mean 6 reasons now?
I have a MacBook Pro 2.0GHz and installed Parallels on it today. I’m blown away by the speed – this product rocks. I can tell you that the XP video in this post has not been accelerated – it’s smokin fast for me.
Already installed Win2K Server, almost done installing Solaris 10 now, then on to NetBSD and OpenBSD — woohooo! I’ll definitely be spending the $50 for this one.
THAT VIDEO HAS BEEN SPED UP. LOOK AT HOW FAST HE TYPES IN THE URL’S
Not everyone types slow. I often type so fast, most people are in disbelief, especially when you throw in autocomplete. I honestly don’t think the video is sped up. Firefox installed just as fast for me in Parallels and the my 2.0GHz system looks just as fast as the video.
Get an Intel Mac and try it for yourself.
It’s not sped up. Here’s a second video I made showing the system clock.

For your information, unless you’re teaching in CA you have no idea what you’re talking about. Ex.
1. I teach in a 20′ x 20′ room and have 36-37 each period
2. I learned Algebra in 9th grade (HS), I’m teaching Algebra to 8th, and need to cover more than I learned in 9th grade.
3. I was taught in 55 min periods, I’m teaching 45 min periods
4. I have 6 periods x 36, over 200 students to teach, in 45 min I have to cover HW, new lessons, guided practice, intervention, and remediate any weak skills.
5. State testing is done in the first week of May, covering 100% of the state standards, when we’ve only covered about 75% of the material (rushed).
So when you say money isn’t need, you’re fooling yourself. CA’s per student spending is at the lower have of the country’s, and our standards are the highest. Money IS needed to reduce class sizes, increase student support services, and increase instructional time. That’s how you improve student performance.
