“When Mac mini was been announced, I was consulted by the friend who wanted to build the Mac mini into the body shell of Macintosh SE/30. I was happy to work on it,” the “MacMINI in SE/30” web page reads.
The Mac mini was fitted into the SE/30’s case and utilizes the old unit’s built-in 9-inch grayscale screen.
It’s quite strange to see Apple’s Mac OS X Tiger running on a 9-inch grayscale screen!
The builder’s used one of the decorative slits of the Mac SE/30’s case for the Mac mini’s DVD drive’s slot. Slit for slot, so to speak.
See more photos of the construction process and the final result here.

Sexiest. Implants. Ever.
… and here’s my old SE/30 stored in the roof as ‘a future antique for my kids’ pension plan — maybe’.
Love it, but not too sure about a mono screen!
Such blasphemy shall not go unpunished. The Gods of vengeance shall be unleashed upon the offending parties for undertaking such a heinous act.
OSX in Greyscale??? A mortal sin indeed. And the raping of a poor defenceless SE/30. May you roast in hell and be devoured for eternity by the dogs of hell.
Wow, that Cube G5 is incredible! I bet the wifi signal strength is terrible though, they’ve blocked the antenna completely!
