Banc of America reiterates ‘neutral’ rating, reduces target price from $87 to $85 on Apple Computer

“Analyst Keith Bachman of Banc of America Securities maintains his “neutral” rating on Apple Computer Inc (AAPL), while reducing his estimates for the company. The target price has been reduced from $87 to $85,” newratings.com reports. “In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the EPS estimate for F2Q06 has been reduced from $0.60 to $0.52 to reflect disappointing CPU sales and reduction in the iPod estimates from 11 million to 10 million.”

  1. Since the stock slips a bit everyone jumps on the bandwagon of lowering target prices, except a few which I have repect for. Of course Apple is going to have a less than stellar 1st quarter. #1. Holiday Season is over #2. Mac sales are going to be somewhat stagnant until they start shipping the new MacBooks and all the “other” products that will probably be released April Fools…then who will the fools be.
