Apple to hold grand opening celebration for Brea, California Apple Store this Saturday – November 09, 2005
Thanks for the pics, Don. Funny to see how many people brought their Powerbooks or iBooks to the event. I live in Bakersfield, CA, and I know we are too small a market for an Apple store. Maybe someday they will open one in Fresno. I’d drive up there to visit.
Thanks again. Enjoyed the pics.
Michael
Thanks for the pic’s guys, great opening.

When the Mactels arrive there will no longer be a chip supply problem, expect great things to happen.
MDN Word: “once” Like once upon a time, in a land far far away…there lived this troll called Billy Goat in a castle he called Redmond….
you know i’m getting old when i have 10 times more fun taking pictures of the event than the event itself…
the nerds (hey, i’m a nerd too) at the front had shirts on from a bunch of other SoCal events… they are die-hard. The only other opening i’ve been to was the Glendale Galleria.
anyhow, i hope you all enjoy the pictures – anything to help MDN, the best Mac webiste out there becuase they’re smart-asses and don’t apologize for it.
Don,
Great photos! I’m impressed, you seem to have a good eye for photo composition.
Nice dog too!

BTW – Your shot of “Don’s dream lens” is a photo of Michael Goulding of the Orange County Register. A really nice guy and a good photographer.
The lens looks like a 300 f/ 2.8.

It was a fantastic night.

Apple needs to put an Apple Store in Knoxville, TN. It would definatly sell many Macs, and Knoxville CompUSA is the only place to buy any Macs (It sells out of Mac constantly). (Other than the Guitar Center that sells G5 towers.) Apple are you listening?

I was there! Nice to see a big turn-out. No surprise though. The main reason I went was to sign up for the sweepstakes (and I forgot to!) and to grab one of the free AppleT-Shirts. Well, again disappointment…they only made the shirts in size XL, so the shirt appears to be much too big for me! Maybe someone out there wants to buy it? Would be a shame to go to waste. I’d part with it for fifteen bucks plus two for postage. A great bargain considering I drove 40 miles and waited in line for two hours to get it! 😀
