Free ‘Amnesty Screen Saver’ lets Mac OS X Dashboard Widgets run as Screen Savers

Meas Dynamics has announced the release of “Amnesty Screen Saver” which is a screen saver module that allows Dashboard widgets to animate around your screen while still doing what they’re designed to do, such as getting information from the web or keeping you updated on the status of your computer’s various settings.

And even though you can’t interact with widgets in a screen saver, many Dashboard widgets, like clocks for example, look great just moving around your screen.

Amnesty Screen Saver is free for your enjoyment – and a great way to showcase your widget collection.

Amnesty Screen Saver runs on Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther) or later (10.4 or later is recommended). Installation of Amnesty Widget Browser is optional and not required.

  1. Great idea. What’s better than a little eye-candy (free!) that shows off the little Mac “extras” without a lot of effort. I like the RSS screen-saver and the elegant slide shows already built in, but this little job looks like a nice way to show off widgets to my PC-burdened friends.
