  1. I’ve got cable service for my computers, but if I am using Airport w/ iTunes and the phone rings, iTunes stops transmitting the signal.

    What is up wit dat?

  2. Try changing the channel number your Airport is using. They typically range from 1 to 11 and represent slightly different frequencies in the same spectrum. This is similar to how cordless phones often let your switch channels for better reception. Also, make sure Interference Robustness is turned on.

  3. I take it, your phone is wireless phone. it seen that if you phone is on the same channel as your aiport it will disconnect the connection. i have linksys wireless and that i used to happen me, so i change the wireless channel being use by the router. things are running fine now.

  4. As to the update itself, it appears to be running just fine and may even be connecting to the Net from my Express just a bit faster, but it could also be a lot of people cutting out from work earlier than me, leave the DSL lines less busy <grin>…

MW: went, as in “I guess they all went home except me…”

  5. Your airport and your cordless phone use the same frequencies.

The best solution is to dump the 2.4 Ghz phone in favor of a 900 Mhz or 5.8 Ghz ones.

Microwave ovens will do the same thing.
