mw: book. As in,”Look over there, it’s a book!”
here’s news:
mac users are idiots.
hehehe, that was pretty funny stanheman.
More like the coming wave will be the final coffin in the Apple story, much like the poor souls that ventured out onto the laid bare beaches before the sweep of the tsunami.
Mac users are those poor souls now, observing the exposed sea bed before the tide of Longhorn and .Net sweeps over them.
As I’ve explained ad naseum I’m sure, .Net will simply change the e and real commerce world in ways that Mac users could never understand.
It will be the next revolution.

I’ll paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi just for you, Stantheman
“Who is more the idiot – the idiot or the idiot who follows him to MDN?”
Piss off you little troll.
says the guy named “Jimbo von Winskinheimer”
I hope that is not your real name.
I’m sure your Mac user family named you that retarded name. I guess your name foreshadowed your future life as a mac zealot.
got that right… big drought…. haven’t seen anything interesting in a week… and i am #1
Here’s news:
PC users consistantly read the Mac News sites. Are they trying to tell us something & it’s a cry for help?
Stantheman:
Definition of idiot,”… simple person, as distinguished from the educated”.
Definition of stupid, “… M$ Windows user…!
One who keeps supporting an inferior product, that justifies the over 70,000 plus virus and trojans affecting the systems and wallets, as part of every day computer use! Yeah right!
Funny how Billy’s biatches are always showing at this site, must be pennis envy!
pen is envy.
name the reference for that phrase, cedreca, I dare you.
.NET has been around for years and still does not dominate. Why? Because it is only one of many frameworks some of which are much older and far more developed. The best frameworks allow systems of total scalability and multiple platforms. .NET does neither which is why it will never dominate.
Anybody who thinks that Windows is the best thing since sliced bread is a total loser. Windows is ok in its place but it is still only a narrow technological sector.
As for Windows Longhorn having support for digital raw images, well I hate to break it to you followers of MickeySoft, but Apple users have had this capability for many years. I guess you can’t help but copy parts of a better system.
Its pretty obvious that grammer school is out…
Let´s start our own rumors!!!
Uh…here´s mine: how about nothing ew nwill be announced at WWDC?
Just blah, blah, blah about the last blah, blah, blah.
that´s “nothing new”, not “nothing ew n”
Darn keyboard…
Sputnik said “As I’ve explained ad naseum I’m sure, .Net will simply change the e and real commerce world in ways that Mac users could never understand. It will be the next revolution.”
– errrr… this would be the same revolutionary .Net framework that Longhorn was going to be based on, and which has now just been yanked out of Longhorn would it? More evolutionary dead end than revolutionary, I’d say.
Keep waiting for longhorn… I think your wait time is down to 17 months.
Barring anymore setbacks. chuckle
How is MS going to sell an OS based on security? That’s not a sexy sell.
I dont see tons of XP folks running out for the OS. They’ll get it once they upgrade hardware. Even then the security will not be as good as OSX
I’ll keep my OSX that was built by my hardware MFR.
Bolt on Operating syatems are not for me, Thank’s anyway Mr. Gates.
So you can take that longhorn and stick to the Microsoft faithful.
*sigh*
Why are any of you feeding the trolls? (PS. sputnik isn’t exactly one).

I have to wonder if the lack of pre-WWDC rumours is due to a directive from Steve: “leak information and your head will be on a platter, and the drinking glass will be filled with your ….” well, you get the idea.
>>> Like the ocean being sucked out before a large wave
great analogy … I was feeling it also.
Cedreca,
I take offense at your implication that since I continue to use Windows in addition to my Mac, that I am by definition a stupid person. So I must be stupid for believing that the quality and success of my life is not determined merely by the products I use. So the few billion of us that don’t govern our lives by every product that comes out of a profit-seeking corporation are stupid for having other priorities in life. Congratulations then on your being such a superior human being. Perhaps if I were able to emulate your pride and ego, I might too become a better person like yourself.
MDN lost for words? Never thought I’d see the day!
Hell (magic word) hath frozen over
tomramsey,
My inner pedant awakes. You mean “it’s” and “grammar”.

stantheman,
The phrase is from Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” (1986).
“pen is envy” is a pun on Freud’s “penis envy,” the notion that women who want to be like men are neurotic.
Oh, come on now, MDN! Can’t you find any of those thrilling stories of a school in Podunk, Tennessee, that just bought a Mac? Or how Pixar just updated RenderMan?
How will the Mac community survive without this important information?!
Camus, needless to say you are absolutely right.
Most of the time I’m humored by the OS warriors. I think they’re silly and amusing, and frequently childish and immature. Except for a rare and occasioned well reasoned argument, they are no different that any of the European soccer hooligans or the rabid Yankee/Redsox hating madfans so close to me. They make their noise to achieve their sense of belonging to a common and greater cause.
I wonder how demonstrative they would continue to be if they couldn’t avail themselves to the anonimity of a screen name.
Well, with the absence of anytihng Mac-like. Let’s talk about something else.
I’ll start, and with a nice geeky subject. Now that it appears the BBC has successfully redone Dr. Who, does anyone agree they should do a similar reworking of Blakes 7?
